The four day cluster in Columbus, Ohio in November 2010 was a
good time for Kim and Travis! Kim Sterling is pictured on the
left with CHELANES LILLY OF THE VALLEY (Lilly, 7 months old)
who took Winners Bitch for 2 points at the Lima Kennel Club
Show on Saturday, November 20th under Judge Luc Boileau.
Travis Borger is pictured on the right with CHELANES BREAD &
BUTTER (Pickles, 3 months old) who took a Best of Breed Puppy
and Group 1 Puppy at the puppy match held Friday night. This
was Travis' first weekend in the show ring and the first time
in the ring for Pickles!! Great job!! |

Meet ... KIM STERLING ... our multi-talented handler and
partner here at CHELANES POMERANIANS. Kim has spent many years
showing dogs, including Rottweilers, Standard Poodles, and
Greyhounds. 2010 marked her debut in the Pomeranian ring and
she is also a breeder, trainer, groomer, vet tech,
hairdresser, and former dog warden. An expert at breeding and
whelping puppies, her vast knowledge of caring for dogs since
she was a teenager serve her well.

Meet ... CHEYENNE MYERS (daughter of Kim Sterling pictured
above) ... our new junior handler who just took Winners Bitch
for 2 points her very first weekend showing dogs! This picture
is of Cheyenne at the All Breed Shows following the Indiana
Specialty Show in September 2010. Cheyenne has a true way with
dogs, was completely composed during the entire time she
showed this bitch, and accepted the award with absolute poise.
As the judge commented afterwards, Cheyenne worked that cute
little Pomeranian every minute she was in the ring. Just think
about it, folks ... this beautiful young girl won over all the
grown-up handlers in the ring for winner's bitch ... and they
were some of the best! |
